New Managing Director at Shorehill

Shorehill Capital has hired Michelle Eidson as the firm’s newest Managing Director and Head of Business Development.

In her new position with Shorehill, Ms. Eidson is responsible for the firm’s business development and investment sourcing initiatives. She will focus on establishing and maintaining relationships with investment banking firms, business brokers and other sources of deal flow, as well as direct calling of prospective acquisition targets.

Ms. Eidson joins Shorehill from Platte River Equity where she was the Vice President and head of Marketing and Business Development from August 2011 to September 2017. From 2003 to 2011 she was the Director of Corporate Development for EchoStar – a provider of satellite communication services – responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing strategic partnerships, investments and acquisitions. Earlier in her career she held roles at CIBC World Markets, Holden Capital and JPMorgan Chase. Ms. Eidson has a BA from Colby College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Shorehill Capital makes control investments in North American-based middle market companies that have from $3 million to $15 million in EBITDA and enterprise values of $25 million to $150 million. Sectors of interest include engineered industrial products, industrial services, and value-added distribution. The firm was founded in 2013 by its managing partners Brian Simmons and Dave Hawkins, both former senior executives of CHS Capital.  Shorehill is based in Chicago (www.shorehillcapital.com).
